Much of the attention has centred around 15-year-old batting sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi, whose potential debut has generated significant excitement following his record-breaking IPL 2026 campaign.
India assistant coach Ryan ten Doeschate recently stated that the youngster would have to earn his place through the usual selection process, but also admitted that Suryavanshi appears ready for international cricket. Following India’s 0-2 series loss in Ireland, the team management faces some difficult decisions, particularly after underwhelming performances from Sanju Samson and Ishan Kishan.
