After being put in to bat, CSK rode on a magnificent century from Sanju Samson to post a daunting 207/6, before their bowlers dismantled MI for just 104 runs.

CSK’s innings was headlined by a sensational knock from Samson, who hammered 101 off just 54 deliveries, laced with 10 fours and 6 sixes. His innings combined elegance with brute power, keeping the scoreboard ticking at a rapid pace.
Ruturaj Gaikwad provided early momentum with a brisk 22, while Dewald Brevis added valuable runs in the middle overs with a quickfire 21. Contributions from Jamie Overton (15 off 7) and Kartik Sharma (18) ensured CSK crossed the 200-run mark comfortably.
For MI, Allah Mohammad Ghazanfar was the standout bowler, picking up 2 wickets for just 25 runs in his four overs. Ashwani Kumar also grabbed two scalps, but the rest of the bowling unit struggled to contain the flow of runs.

Chasing a steep target of 208, MI never found their footing and suffered a dramatic collapse. Early wickets derailed the innings, and despite a brief resistance from Suryakumar Yadav (36) and Tilak Varma (37), the hosts failed to build any meaningful partnerships.
The star with the ball for CSK was Akeal Hosein, who delivered a match-winning spell of 4/17 in his four overs. His disciplined bowling broke the backbone of MI’s batting lineup. Noor Ahmad chipped in with two wickets, while Mukesh Choudhary, Jamie Overton, Anshul Kamboj, and Gurjapneet Singh all contributed with a wicket each.
