The IPL 2025 clash between Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Mumbai Indians (MI) witnessed high drama right from the outset of RR’s daunting chase of 218 at the Wankhede. The Royals, riding high on the back of a stellar ton by teenage sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi in the previous match, were dealt a major blow as the youngster fell for a duck in the very first over.

It was the fourth ball of the opening over when Deepak Chahar delivered a sharp, full delivery to Suryavanshi. Looking to replicate his aggressive style, the 19-year-old went for a big shot but only managed to mistime it. The ball turned off his bat awkwardly and went straight to Will Jacks at mid-on, who took a clean catch just inside the circle.
Suryavanshi stood in disbelief, hands on hips, as MI players erupted in celebration. Just days ago, he had made headlines as the youngest centurion in IPL history. Tonight, however, he had to walk back without troubling the scorers.
