The Champions Trophy 2025 semi-finals are set to deliver thrilling cricket action, with the four teams in the semi-finals and fixtures confirmed. While India will take on the world champions Australia in the first semi-finals at the Dubai International Stadium, South Africa are set to clash against New Zealand in the second semi-finals at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.

Amidst the hype and talking points before the all-important clash, ICC has announced the match officials for the semi-finals of the tournament.

The first semi-final will see a captivating showdown between India and Australia, scheduled for Tuesday, 4th March, in Dubai. On-field umpires Chris Gaffaney and Richard Illingworth will be in charge, ensuring a smooth and fair contest between two of the tournament’s biggest powerhouses. Meanwhile, the second semi-final, featuring New Zealand and South Africa, will take place on Wednesday, 5th March, in Lahore. Kumar Dharmasena and Paul Reiffel will oversee this exciting clash, where both teams will be eager to secure their place in the final. With world-class officials and intense match-ups, both semi-finals promise to be unforgettable.

Semi-final 1: India v Australia (Dubai)

Semi-final 2: South Africa v New Zealand (Lahore)

Group-stage journey of the four semi-finalists

India: With 6 points in 3 matches, India topped the Group A of the Champions Trophy 2025 and is the only team to win all its matches. India won their first group stage match against Bangladesh and their second match against Pakistan by 6 wickets. Following which they defeated New Zealand by 44 runs.

Australia: The world champions managed to garner a total of 4 points in 3 matches. Two group stage matches of the Australian team were washed away due to rain while they registered a triumphant win against England in their opening fixture of the tournament.

South Africa: The Proteas secured the top-spot in group B after their dominant win over Afghanistan and England. They defeated the Afghan side by 107 runs and clinched a 7-wicket win over England. Their second group stage clash against Australia was washed away due to rain.

New Zealand: The Black Caps defeated both Bangladesh and Pakistan in the first two group stage matches to secure a place in the semi-finals of the tournament. However, they slipped-up against Indian in their final group stage match, New Zealand are also one of the favourites to enter the final of the competition.
