IPL 2025 Eliminator: GT vs MI Head-to-head Record, Mullanpur Stadium T20 Stats

The stage is set for a high-stakes clash as Gujarat Titans (GT) take on Mumbai Indians (MI) in the IPL 2025 Eliminator at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in Mullanpur, Chandigarh, on Friday, May 30. The winner will progress to Qualifier 2 to face Punjab Kings (PBKS) for a spot in the final, while the loser’s campaign ends tonight.

Teams’ road to the IPL 2025 playoffs

Gujarat Titans, led by Shubman Gill, enjoyed a dominant league stage, winning nine out of 14 matches and finishing third on the points table. However, back-to-back defeats in their final two league games against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) cost them a top-two finish. Mumbai Indians, under Hardik Pandya, had a roller-coaster season, losing four of their first five matches but bouncing back with six consecutive wins to secure fourth place in the playoffs.

Both teams have been forced to make key changes due to players departing for national duties. GT are without Jos Buttler, a crucial contributor this season, while MI miss the services of Ryan Rickelton, Will Jacks and Corbin Bosch. GT have brought in Kusal Mendis, while MI have added Jonny Bairstow, Richard Gleeson and Charith Asalanka to their ranks.

GT vs MI: Head-to-Head Record

Gujarat Titans hold a clear edge over Mumbai Indians in their brief IPL rivalry. In seven meetings so far, GT have won five while MI have managed just two victories. Notably, GT have beaten MI twice in the 2025 season, further boosting their confidence ahead of the Eliminator.
