Following the victory, Archer grabbed attention with a cheeky remark aimed at Punjab Kings, who missed out on the playoffs after suffering a dramatic collapse in the latter half of the season. Punjab lost six of their final seven league matches, allowing Rajasthan Royals to sneak into the top four.
Speaking after the game, Archer stressed that RR are focused on staying grounded despite their recent resurgence. While discussing the team’s form, the England pacer hinted that the Royals do not want to repeat Punjab’s mistakes after building momentum.
“Very confident. Every game, every game at a time. I think we are peak, well, I don’t want to say peaking, we’re going in the right direction at the right time, you know, we don’t want what happened to Kings 11 to happen to us, so I think we’re on the right path, everyone chipping in every game, and that’s the important part,” Archer said during the post-match interaction.

Archer and Vaibhav Suryavanshi power RR to massive win
The match itself was dominated by Rajasthan Royals from the very beginning. Batting first, RR piled up a massive total of 243/8 in 20 overs, thanks largely to a sensational innings from 15-year-old Suryavanshi. The young batter played with extraordinary confidence, smashing 97 runs off just 29 deliveries and dismantling the SRH bowling attack with fearless strokeplay.
Suryavanshi narrowly missed out on a memorable century, but his innings completely shifted the momentum in RR’s favour. His aggressive approach gave the Royals the perfect platform to post a daunting total in a high-pressure knockout fixture. Archer, clearly impressed by the teenager’s fearless batting, joked that he would happily take even more runs from the youngster in future games.
“It was very exciting, the more runs he scores, the more runs we have to defend. So, you know, he can go on and get 150. So it’s good for the bowlers when he gets a lot of runs,” added the English pacer.
The England speedster then backed up the batting effort with a destructive spell in the powerplay. Archer removed dangerous batters Abhishek Sharma, Travis Head and Ishan Kishan early in the chase, effectively ending SRH’s hopes before they could settle.
