However, he suggested that the return of Hardik Pandya would likely limit opportunities, making it a direct battle between Nitish and other all-rounders for a spot alongside Jadeja.

“Nitish Kumar Reddy is a developing all-rounder. So once Hardik Pandya is back, it’ll be only one of himself and Nitish. The other all-rounder must be Jadeja. But Jadeja also must start performing. Yet, even though he’s not at his peak, it’ll be foolish to write him off,” Srikkanth added.

Jadeja’s experience across conditions, coupled with his fielding excellence and ability to contribute with both bat and ball, has made him a vital asset for India over the years.
