Bangladesh have announced their 16-member squad for their historic first bilateral ODI series in Australia, with uncapped duo Disha Biswas and Habiba Islam Pinky earning places in the touring party. The three-match series will be played at Allan Border Field in Brisbane, with the first game scheduled for October 9. Nigar Sultana Joty will continue to captain the side, with Nahida Akter serving as her deputy.

Bangladesh will travel to Australia on October 3, with the remaining two ODIs set to take place on October 11 and 14. Disha, a former Bangladesh Under-19 captain, is yet to make her senior international debut and has now earned a place in the ODI squad as a pace-bowling allrounder.

Habiba, meanwhile, has one international appearance to her name, having played a T20I against India in May 2024. The two players add to Bangladesh’s pace options alongside Marufa Akter and Ritu Moni. Their inclusion also allows the team to assess two younger players during a landmark tour against one of the leading sides in women’s cricket.
