New Players for Manchester United

Player Departures 

Paul Pogba is one of the most notable players who United boldly released when their contracts expired because it saved money on wages.

Captain of Manchester United 

Harry Maguire has been the club’s captain since January 17th, 2020. Ashley Young, who transferred to Inter Milan, was replaced by him. At the time, he had only been at Old Trafford for nine months. Bruno Fernandes is serving as vice-captain. 

Coach of Manchester United 

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, the former Red Devils coach, resigned on November 20, 2021, having led his team for four seasons without a championship. The following three games were overseen by Michael Carrick, and Ralf Rangnick was named season-long interim manager. On April 21, 2022, Erik ten Hag signed a contract good for three years, or until June 2025.

Transfer rumors involving Manchester United 

Before the summer transfer window ends on September 1st, Old Trafford is rumored to sign a number of players. Several are: 

Antony Matheus dos Santos, winger for Ajax. 

Yannick Carrasco, a forward for Atletico Madrid, if they are unable to secure Antony 

Cody Gakpo of PSV, who has also been linked to Leeds and Arsenal. 

The Moises Caicedo of Brighton. 

Christian Pulisic, a winger for Chelsea (on loan). 

Kevin Trapp, the goalkeeper for Eintracht Frankfurt 

Eric Bailly, a defender for Marseille
