As he nears finalising a transfer to Al Hilal, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) star Neymar will make a staggering €100 million annually (via Get Football News France). According to reports, the Saudi Pro League team will give the Parisian club €90 million in exchange for its striker.

Before joining the Saudi Arabian team, the former Barcelona player will have his medical in the following hours. In the event that everything goes as planned, Neymar’s six-year stay at PSG will inevitably come to an end.

In 2017, he transferred from Barcelona to the French Ligue 1 side for a rumoured €222 million. The attacker made 173 matches across all competitions while playing at Parc des Princes, recording 118 goals and 77 assists. He was the five-time Ligue 1 champion but was unable to bring home the UEFA Champions League title.

The former Premier League talents Kalidou Koulibaly and Ruben Neves will join the Brazil international at his new club. Neymar’s future appears to be set, despite the fact that Chelsea and Barcelona were rumoured to be interested for him during the summer. The footballer, who was informed he was no longer needed at PSG, will now look forward to a fresh challenge in Saudi Arabia.

“I don’t think he’ll survive in the #PL at this stage of his career”, Andy Townsend.

In the midst of rumours of a prospective transfer to Chelsea, football analyst Andy Townsend predicted Neymar’s relocation to Saudi Arabia. Given the toughness of the Premier League, Townsend thought a move there would not be advantageous for the Brazil international.

The 31-year-old forward was also linked with a dream return to his former club, Barcelona. However, the player is now closing in on a move to Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal. While talking to TalkSport, he said, “I don’t think he’ll survive in the #PL at this stage of his career. He’ll end up in Saudi! He wouldn’t be what everyone wants. If PSG want money, nobody will compete.”
