Marco Asensio the Real Madrid midfielder has outrightly rejected the new contract as he is demanding a higher sum. As per a report from El Nacional, The Spaniard is pushing for a bigger sum of money, the net salary being 6 Million per year.

His current yearly earning is 4.5 million per year, while the President of florentine has put forward the offer of 4.8 Million.

Asensio has delivered the goods for his side and has put forward a wonderful showing this season. He has to his credit, 12 goals and eight assists in 48 matches which has happened across competitions. 

His groundbreaking performances have made Real Madrid expedite the process of getting him a new contract.

His contract expires when the current season finishes. Top clubs have been vying for him. This includes the likes of Tottenham Hotspur, AC Milan and Arsenal. 

But the midfielder has stopped all negotiations with other clubs

and has conveyed the same to his agent Jorge Mendes. The Spaniard wishes to don the colours of Real Madrid as of now and does not want to change bases.

Another big talking point for Real Madrid is Vinicius Junior. His contract lapses in a year’s time. The man from Brazil has shown great performances this season and has been in wonderful form. He has managed to score 23 goals and 21 assists. This happened in 53 games across competitions.

Asensio is with Real Madrid as he awaits a positive reply from the club with regards to the terms of the fresh contract. It has been a fruitful time for him in the Real Madrid jersey as he has won three La Liga titles and three Champions League titles with them at Santiago Bernabeu.

Carlo Ancelotti, the Real Madrid manager, has asked the club to make haste and sign Tottenham’s forward Richarlison. Real Madrid’s man in charge wants the Brazilian at any cost and is trying his best to get him.
