This victory not only marked a significant win for India but also brought redemption from the heartbreak of the 2023 ODI World Cup. The Indian team’s performance has been widely celebrated by fans, celebrities and cricket legends alike, with many taking to social media to congratulate the team on their semi-final win.

With India now set to face their next challenge in the Champions Trophy 2025 final, the nation remains hopeful that the team will bring home the trophy.

KL Rahul: Third-fastest Indian to complete 3,000 ODI runs

In his 84-match ODI career, Rahul has amassed over 3,000 runs, maintaining an impressive batting average of 48.53. His stats include seven centuries and 18 half-centuries, with his highest individual score being 112.

Among Indian batters who have surpassed the 3,000-run mark in ODIs, Rahul’s average ranks just behind Virat Kohli (58), MS Dhoni (50.57) and Rohit Sharma (48.64).

Rahul reached the 3,000-run milestone in ODIs in just 78 innings. Among Indian players, only Shikhar Dhawan (72) and Kohli (75) have achieved this feat in fewer innings. It is worth noting that, unlike Kohli and Dhawan, who mostly batted at the top, Rahul has scored the majority of his runs while operation at number four or lower.
